Special arts and culture, centuries old traditions and scenic charm, everything is a state tourist region of Sachen. Fronted cultural performances by theaters that have been renovated international scale as well as music production houses, prestigious festivals, museums and various performances. Sachen is also known for unique handicrafts in different areas: music equipment Vogtland, Erzgebirge crafts wood from the mountains, Meissen porcelain from the textile industry in Plauen and hours in Glashutte. The great scenery of mountains, valleys, and lakes make this region as an attractive tourism destination, resort, or as a destination for family vacations.

Erzgebirge Mountains have ancient traditions of wooden handicrafts produced more than 300 years old. The most famous example is Nussknacker and Räuchermännchen made in the form of mini wooden dolls. The name of this mountain too (Erzgebirge = ore mountains) is actually derived from silver ore has been mined for centuries ever here. Mining towns of prosperity we see in our still-Buchholz Annaberg, Schneeberg and Freiberg. In “Silver Route”, visitors can enjoy historic places smelting, mining areas, the first mathematical school (founded by Adam Riese), a leading arithmetician.
